Growing up, I witnessed firsthand how my entrepreneurial parents ran their respective businesses – a beauty salon and a trucking company. It didn’t take long for the business bug to hit me! While I knew I wanted to be a business owner from a young age, I didn’t know when my dream would come to fruition.

The truth is, the path to my accounting & bookkeeping business wasn’t such a straight shot to success as I had imagined.

So, I did what most people do when they want to master their trade and “figure things out.” I went to college (3xs over) to learn more about business and accounting. Simultaneously, I worked in roles where I led and managed accounting teams ranging from small companies to Fortune 500 companies in the transportation, real estate, and media and entertainment industries. While I enjoyed my time in the corporate accounting world, I knew there was more out there for me to explore – on my own.

By then, I was knee-deep in single mother duties, raising a growing boy who was my #1 priority. I didn’t give up on my desire to work for myself. Most learned of my dream and called it ‘unrealistic,’ but my Aries spirit knew otherwise. So, with laser focus and the support of family, friends, and mentors, I charted my path to success. In 2015, with limited funds and BIG dreams, I created a legacy for my son and launched Cynergy Business Solutions!
